Political Philosophy

(This course was called «Political Ethics» until the year 2005–2006.)

This course studies major themes in the ancient, medieval, and modern history of Western political thought. Perspectives of contemporary Thomism are presented as a suggested framework for synthesizing the themes treated in the historical survey. The impact of political philosophy on Catholic social teaching is also noted.
