Religion according to John Hick: In dialogue with Saint Thomas
John Hick (born 1922) is a very influential English theologian and philosopher. He began as a rather classical philosopher of religion, within a Presbyterian perspective. He presently offers a complete philosophy and theology of religion, which aims at a global religious unity acceptable in contemporary culture. His philosophical presuppositions have a deep theological impact. The course will study his thought and comment on it from a Catholic perspective.
