Reading of a Classical Philosophical Text
This course will consist in a reading and commentary of Platos's Timaeus.
The following topics will be treated:
- The aspect in which Nature appeard to a greek philosopher.
- Numbers and figures as the greatest instruments of thought.
- The basic concepts of identity, difference and existence.
- The influence this text exercised upon posterity.

- Plato's Cosmology (Timaeus), translated by F. Cornford, London, 1956.
