Reading of a Classical Philosophical Text

This course will consist in a reading and commentary of Platos's Timaeus.

The following topics will be treated:

  1. The aspect in which Nature appeard to a greek philosopher.
  2. Numbers and figures as the greatest instruments of thought.
  3. The basic concepts of identity, difference and existence.
  4. The influence this text exercised upon posterity.
