Credits

The Faculty adheres to the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Credits allocated to the educational components of the study program according to this system reflect the quantity of work each component requires, including personal reading and preparation for exams. One credit corresponds to 25 to 30 hours of work. One year of studies amounts to about 60 credits.

The following table shows the credits allocated to the courses, based on the number of 45 minute lectures per week per semester.

Four credits are allocated to a one semester seminar (two hours a week).

First cycle: One credit is allocated to each first cycle paper; four credits are allocated to the class «Reading of a Classical Philosophical Text»; two credits are allocated to the preparation of the written Baccalaureat exam.

Second cycle: sixteen credits are allocated to the preparation of the Licence paper, sixteen credits to the preparation of the final written and oral exams.

Third cycle: sixteen credits are allocated to the lectio coram and ninety-two to the elaboration of the doctoral dissertation.
